Elden Ring Nightreign on PC: Solo, Duo, Co-op and Which Key
How Nightreign differs from Elden Ring, its supported expedition sizes, PC requirements and the Europe Steam-key offer.

Quick answer
Nightreign is a standalone game, not Elden Ring DLC: you do not need the original Elden Ring to buy it. It supports solo play and three-player expeditions, with two-player expeditions added in patch 1.02. The linked Driffle offer is the Europe PC Steam base game, not Deluxe or The Forsaken Hollows expansion.
Standalone adventure, not more of the original campaign
Nightreign uses the Elden Ring universe for a different structure: expeditions across a changing Limveld, gathering strength before confronting Nightlords. The published design revolves around a three-day-and-night cycle rather than continuing your original Elden Ring character's open-world journey.
Think about which activity you want next. Repeatable expeditions with a team are a different purchase from another long campaign in the original game. Familiarity with Elden Ring may inform your interest, but owning its license is not a prerequisite for this standalone title. This guide explains published features, not our own playthrough.

Can one or two players go without a third?
Yes. Solo play is supported, and Bandai Namco's patch 1.02 added Two Player Expeditions with game balance adjusted to the number of players. Three-player co-op remains part of the game. Advice written around launch that says two people must always find a third is therefore outdated.
For a regular pair, use the two-player expedition setting on an updated game rather than planning around the launch restrictions. For a larger group, check who has the matching platform version before buying. These mode labels do not promise equal difficulty, instant matchmaking or cross-platform invitations; we do not infer those from a store feature list.
Base game versus Deluxe and The Forsaken Hollows
The linked Driffle product is Nightreign's Europe PC Steam base-game key. Steam's separate Deluxe description includes The Forsaken Hollows, a digital artbook and mini soundtrack. Those Deluxe extras are not promised for this base-game offer.
If you are joining friends, ask whether their planned content needs the expansion before choosing your license. If you already own Nightreign, inspect your existing DLC rather than buying the base game again to obtain an extra it does not list. Neither this key nor the Deluxe name should be confused with the original Elden Ring or its expansions.
PC requirements and Europe activation
Steam's minimum lists Windows 10, an i5-10600 or Ryzen 5 5500, 12 GB RAM and a GTX 1060 3 GB or RX 580 4 GB. Recommended hardware is Windows 11, an i5-11500 or Ryzen 5 5600, 16 GB RAM and a GTX 1070 8 GB or RX Vega 56 8 GB. Both tiers list DirectX 12 and 30 GB storage.
These specifications are not our performance benchmarks. After matching your PC, verify the Driffle key's eligibility for your specific Steam-account country: Europe is a regional label, not a promise for every account. Confirm the base-game edition, seller terms and checkout total before paying.
