There Will Never Be Another Final Fantasy Game Like FFXIII -
<strong>Final Fantasy XIII</strong> might have taken five years to develop, but don't expect future titles to have such lengthy development times. Square Enix's Yoshinori Kitase and Motomu Toriyama assured fans that "in the future our teams will be smaller and more effectively run."
Update: NIS Stock has taken a hit (Looking Worse Dood) -
This is an update to the <a href="http://www.gamegrep.com/industry_news/29598-nis_fiscal_report_of_the_year_its_not_good_dood/#c156873" target="_blank">NIS Fiscal Report</a> article posted a couple of days ago. Unsurprisingly, NIS' stock has taken a hit, but it was apparently so bad that JASDAQ (Japanese NASDAQ) had to put a freeze on the price... Hit 'the jump' to see how much it dropped before the stock price was frozen.
Q-Games Working On PixelJunk Shooter 2 -
Q-Games usually doesn't do sequels. When they release a game and it becomes popular enough they release an encore version, which is seen in Monsters and Eden. But Dylan Cuthbert said that they have so many ideas and really wanted to test their engine, and moving on would seem to be just a waste. So expect to see Shooter 2 before the next original PixelJunk game.
Third Party Issue: Nintendo's Downfall? -
There's been some talk going around lately about the relationship between <strong>Nintendo</strong> and third party developers. An example being <a href="http://www.gamegrep.com/blog/29622-why_its_hard_to_sell_third_party_hardcore_titles_on_the_wii/" target="_blank" class="wikianchor">difficulty with hardcore third party titles</a>. <strong>Lee Evans</strong> has posted a blog entry going over some facts and figures in an effort to shed some light on the matter and the severity of the situation.
Kotaku: White Knight Chronicles Review -
Kotaku's review for the PS3's <strong>White Knight Chronicles</strong>. The reviewer's final decision was mixed, as there were a number of positives, but obvious negatives, balancing it out as simply "average."
